The Role of Nutrition in Immunity & Recovery, with Emerging Concepts in "Long-COVID"

The emergence and persistence of the COVID19 pandemic garnered widespread interest in the role of nutrition in immunity and on the pulmonary system. Recently, data on long-COVID, shows negative impacts on other tissues in the body beyond the pulmonary system as well (including the gut and muscle). Dr. Mey will review recent findings and emerging concepts on the relationship between nutrition, immunity and the pulmonary system, focusing on the prevention and treatment of respiratory virus infections, including the ever-present COVID19 and symptoms of long-COVID. Important to practitioners, this talk will cover facts and myths of nutrition and supplements on immunity and specific data to reduce the risk of COVID and other respiratory infections common during the colder months, including key clinical take-aways that can be implemented in your practice today!
