Identifying and Preventing Nutrient Deficiencies in Patients Following Therapeutic Diets for Gut Health | Orgain Healthcare Professional Education Series

Identifying and Preventing Nutrient Deficiencies in Patients Following Therapeutic Diets for Gut Health

Treating gastrointestinal (GI) conditions frequently involves using therapeutic diets to reduce symptoms and improve patient outcomes. However, many therapeutic diets exclude certain foods, which can increase the risk of developing nutrient deficiencies. In this webinar, we discuss why certain exclusion diets (e.g. low FODMAP, specific carbohydrate diet, etc.) are used for GI patients, consider their impact on nutrient status, and give practical tips to healthcare providers for identifying and preventing nutrient deficiencies in patients following therapeutic diets.
