Orgain’s Interview with Jenna Gorham, RD, the founder of The RD Link

  1. Introduce yourself, both personally and professionally so that our readers will be able to “get to know you.”

Hi everyone – My name is Jenna Gorham; I’m a registered dietitian and the founder of The RD Link. I started The RD Link to help RDs stand out as nutrition experts and make RDs more accessible to health and wellness brands. Outside of The RD Link, I live in Montana and enjoy being in the mountains and doing many outdoor activities.
  2. Tell us about The RD Link. What need did you see within the dietitian community that you wanted to address? How can dietitians get involved?

The RD Link is the go-to network for registered dietitians who want to connect with health and wellness brands. It’s perfect for RDs who want to stay up on the latest in food and beverage, share products in their practice, and build relationships with brand leaders.

Years ago, when I was growing a private practice, I began connecting with brands to share samples and coupons with my clients and at local events. Other RDs started to ask how I was doing this, and I knew there had to be an easier way for both brands and dietitians to connect with each other. So, The RD Link was born!

Dietians can get involved by creating a free profile on The RD Link (here). When you sign up before September 14th, you’ll be first to hear when sign-ups go live for our massive fall sampling event! Learn more about The RD Link here.
  3. You’ve built one of the largest networks connecting registered dietitians and health brands. What trends are you seeing in the ways brands are engaging with dietitians, and what do you think that means for the future of the profession?

Lately, I’m seeing educational resources, content creation, and healthcare practitioner programs on the rise. More brands are recognizing what a dietitian is and that they need credible voices to build trust with consumers. While the exact partnership methods may vary, the biggest theme is that brands are now more broadly working with dietitians. Right now, I’m seeing more companies partnering with RDs to offer educational resources, choosing RDs over influencers for content creation, and healthcare practitioner programs are on the rise. Overall, companies are investing more in HCP and RD relationships, bringing more opportunities to our field.
  4. What is the relationship between The RD Link and Orgain? Any upcoming collaborations? How can dietitians get involved?

Orgain is a partner and featured brand on The RD Link! We love working with Orgain and sharing their educational resources with our dietitian community.

Twice a year we host a huge sampling event where our brand partners share thousands of samples with dietitians. RDs can join in and try new and existing products from Orgain and 10+ other brands on September 14th. Claim your FREE RD profile before the 14th to be notified when sign-ups go live.

The Good Clean Nutrition Podcast

New Episode: Feeding Kids Without the Fear: Picky Eating, Food Headlines, & Screens with Jennifer Anderson, MSPH, RDN of Kids Eat in Color

Kids’ nutrition conversations usually center on what a child eats, but perhaps the how, the why, and the when are even more important…

In this episode, Dr. Ginger Hultin, MS, RDN, CSO, welcomes back Jennifer Anderson, MSPH, RDN, the registered dietitian behind Kids Eat in Color, for a conversation about children’s eating behavior. Jennifer explains what actually counts as picky eating, how the label can stick to a child’s identity, and what separates everyday selective eating from ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder). She also makes the interesting case for focusing on hyper-palatable foods rather than the ultra-processed debate, and shares how you can decide whether a food headline deserves your attention.

Tune in and walk away with practical language for the dinner table and a reminder that as a parent, you got this.

Upcoming Episode:  The Gut Check: What We Actually Know About the Microbiome with Dr. Anissa Armet, PhD, RD

The gut microbiome is everywhere right now, but with new research emerging all the time, it can be hard to know what information is worth your time.

In this episode, host Dr. Ginger Hultin sits down with Dr. Anissa Armet, PhD, RD, a dietitian and researcher specializing in the gut microbiome, for an honest look at what we know about gut health and what we’re still figuring out. They break down what the microbiome is, what your gut microbes do for you, and why there’s still no universal definition of a “healthy” gut microbiome. Lastly, the conversation gets practical, asking: How much fiber do you really need? When does a supplement make sense? Do fermented foods live up to the hype? And are prebiotics and probiotics right for me?

If you’ve ever wondered how to support your gut microbiome or struggled to separate gut health science from the latest trend, this episode offers a place to start.
